Workshop Goal:  To support a trauma survivor as she tells her ‘story’ to colleagues for the 1st time.

Objectives:

• Explore how we may share our ‘story’ of overcoming can strengthen our work with trauma survivors.
  • Identify ethical implications by cross referencing our Code of Ethics.
• Review ideas relevant to balancing our life while conducting our work with trauma survivors.
• Summarize how PTSD impacts our work with trauma survivors.

NASW-PA Chapter is a co-sponsor of this workshop. 3 Live CEU’s (includes 1 Ethics CEU) are approved – to meet the license requirements.  NASW- PA is a pre-approved provider of professional, continuing education for Social Workers (Section 47.36), Marriage and Family Therapist (Section 48.36) and Professional Counselors (Section 49.36).
